Empowering the "One-Forty": Pioneering a More Inclusive Society
In 2015, one in every 40 people in Taiwan was a Southeast Asian migrant worker. This workforce has long been the unsung backbone of Taiwan’s infrastructure and long-term care systems. The non-profit organization One-Forty takes its name from this figure, anchoring its mission in the lived experiences of these workers. Through innovative programs, One-Forty supports individuals in building their own futures while contributing to Taiwan’s broader transition toward a more inclusive and equitable society.
