Since 1994, Director Chu-Chen Hsiao has used the documentary lens to bring back chapters of Taiwan’s history that were nearly lost. For Hsiao, film is a way of preserving these stories and sharing them with a global audience, revealing the island’s hardships, its triumphs, and its enduring resilience.
