🌏 Building Talent Connections Across Borders — One-Forty
For migrant workers, learning in Taiwan can open career opportunities long after returning home.
One-Forty, a recipient of the 7th Presidential Innovation Award in the group category, has built a learning community with 120,000 migrant workers participating over a decade. Courses in languages, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and vocational skills help migrant workers navigate daily life in Taiwan and prepare for future career opportunities.
It has also developed a regional talent pipeline for returnees by establishing a specialized non-profit recruitment platform. By matching workers with Mandarin proficiency and experience in Taiwan with Taiwanese companies in Southeast Asian countries, the initiative transforms returning migrants into a valuable talent pool.
One-Forty also works with businesses and organizes cultural exchanges to create more welcoming workplaces and everyday experiences for migrant workers. By connecting education with career opportunities, One-Forty gives workers more choices for their futures and strengthens talent connections between Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
