Key Tasks
Observe Domestic and International Legal Developments in the Energy Transition
- Track domestic and International climate change adaptation strategies and legal developments.
- Track domestic and International development of legal frameworks for renewable energy, such as offshore wind power, photovoltaics, and geothermal energy.
- Observe domestic and International development of legal frameworks for emerging energy and decarbonization technologies, including hydrogen energy and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).
Propose Legal Adaptation Recommendations for Energy Transition and Assist with Interagency and Interdepartmental Legal Coordination for the Ministry of Economic Affairs
- Analyze the needs and provide recommendations for legal adaptations required for promoting energy transition in Taiwan.
- Assist the Ministry of Economic Affairs with interagency and interdepartmental legal coordination for the energy transition, including providing legal solutions and supporting relevant coordination meetings.
- Analyze and clarify legal issues related to the energy transition in alignment with the Ministry of Economic Affairs' promotion of green energy industry policies.
